If you were here this morning, you know what a great morning we had discussing Job’s wife and the lessons from Job’s life. The winner of the challenge was Amy Hebert who guessed correctly that my favorite passage in Job is Chapter 19, verses 25-27:
“I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.  And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;  I myself will see him with my own eyes–I, and not another.  How my heart yearns within me!”
I marvel that, in the midst of all Job was suffering, he knew that his Redeemer lived. And we know that our Redeemer lives today as well.  What great news!
Next week, we will be studying Dorcas. Joyce McCarten will be teaching and she will be bringing a portrait she painted of Dorcas.  We always enjoy the added dimension that Joyce’s paintings bring to her lessons, so I hope you’ll be able to join us.
You’ll find the Lessons on Dorcas here:
In the Bible in Acts 9:36-42
In Her Name Is Woman, Chapter 22, pages 181-185
In Creative Living, The Challenge of Womanhood I, Lesson 22, pages 103-107
I hope you’ll be able to join us next Tuesday.  Feel free to invite a friend!
Blessings,
Susan
